Jefferson Co. Man Killed After Fight With Hunters

SUMMERVILLE (KDKA) ― Police in Jefferson County are trying to determine who fired first in an argument between a property owner and a group of hunters that left one man dead and another wounded.

According to authorities, Frank Shaffer, 63, was upset that a group of bear hunters wandered onto his property in Summerville.

A fight ensued between Shaffer and the hunters and shots were fired.

Shaffer was killed. One of the hunters was wounded.
