Perry North Shooting Suspect To Stand Trial

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― A teenager will stand trial for a shooting that critically injured an innocent bystander in the city's Perry North neighborhood back in November.

The charges against 18-year-old Jayquan Massey include attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Investigators say he was firing shots at a passing vehicle near the corner of Perrysville Avenue and Bonvue Street on Thanksgiving eve.

One bullet hit 47-year-old Cheryl Wilds in the neck, critically injuring her and sending her to Allegheny General Hospital.
