Wounded Hunter Believes Shooting Was Intentional

FRANKLIN PARK (KDKA) ― A local teenager who was shot while hunting in Indiana Township last month believes the incident was no accident.

Jason Davies, 19, from Franklin Township, still has scars on his arm from when he tried to shield his face from the shotgun blast. He suffered eye injuries, facial trauma and nerve damage to his arm.

"He saw me twice and, I yelled at him, and said, 'What are you doing,' and waived my arms and he seen me, I know he seen me," Davies tells KDKA.

He says what happened to him on October 13 was a cowardly act. His parents have put up $10,000 coupled with a $1,000 reward from Crime Stoppers in hopes of catching the shooter.

Anyone with information should contact Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers at 412/255-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
