Houston Fire Under Investigation

HOUSTON (KDKA/AP) ― A fire destroyed a wire and steel factory in Houston, Washington County.

It happened Monday evening at the Tatano Wire and Steel building.

It took four fire companies more than two hours to extinguish the blaze.

The fire sent thick smoke and flames into the air.

The plant operates only when special orders are needed.

No one had been working in the factory for about three weeks.

Homes nearby were not damaged.

The fire is under investigation.
