Crews Respond To 3 Fires In Allegheny, Beaver Co.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― It was a busy morning for firefighters in three separate communities as crews battled house fires in Sheraden, South Park Township and New Brighton.

Crews were called to a house fire in Sheraden around 6am when thick smoke and flames engulfed a house in the 2700-block of Merwyn Avenue. The people who lived in the home managed to escape without injury.

Firefighters also responded to a two-alarm house fire in the 3200-block of Central Drive in South Park Township.  The fire apparently started in the basement of the home. While everyone managed to get out of the home safely, firefighters say they had a difficult time getting to the flames.

Also, firefighters in Beaver County were called to a house fire in New Brighton. Crews were called to the home at Fifth Street and Second Avenue. Everyone inside the home managed to get out safely; but the house was engulfed in flames.

At this point, investigators are not commenting on what may have sparked any of these fires.
