Holiday DUI Checkpoint Puts 10 In Handcuffs

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Fourth of July holiday has local police departments stepping up patrols across the area this weekend.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, police said 10 driving under the influence arrests were made at a local checkpoint that was set up overnight on Friday through early Saturday morning.

Also, the PG reports that nine citations were handed out for vehicle code violations as well as two warnings for seatbelt violations.

Police said more than 960 vehicles crossed through the checkpoint.
