FBI Director To Meet With Family Of Slain Agent

PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) ― FBI Director Robert Mueller III is in Pittsburgh today to meet with the family and colleagues of the agent who was shot and killed on Wednesday in Indiana Township while in the line of duty.

Pittsburgh FBI spokesman Special Agent Bill Crowley says Mueller is set to meet privately with the family of Special Agent Sam Hicks today.

Also, Crowley said Mueller will visit with the staff at the FBI facility located on the South Side.

County homicide detectives have charged 40-year-old Christina Korbe, of Indiana Township, with shooting Hicks. It happened as agents raided her home to arrest her husband on drug charges Wednesday morning.

Hicks is the first FBI agent killed in the line of duty in the Pittsburgh area. Other FBI agents from the Pittsburgh area have been slain while working in other areas of the country.

Crowley says Mueller will not address the media in Pittsburgh.
