Police Crackdown On Seat Belt Violators

HEIDELBERG (KDKA) ― Police were out in full force today in Heidelberg to keep drivers safe.

PennDOT District 11 officials along with Bridgeville, Carnegie, Heidelberg and Scott Township Police worked together to enforce seat belt laws.

It's all part of Buckle Up PA.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., police were stationed along Washington Pike.

Unbuckled motorists passing through the checkpoints received warnings and handouts detailing the state's seat belt law.

The checkpoint operation coincides with the on-going national Click It or Ticket campaign.
