The Halloween spirit spread across Pittsburgh on Saturday as the kids were out in their costumes, the adults headed to their parties.
As they were all across the area, trick or treaters were out on Dewey Street in Etna this Halloween looking for some sweets.
It was a very safe, friendly and fun night in the community as the whole neighborhood was out to make it special for the kids.
"People are so wonderful in this neighborhood," said Tom Rutkowski, who was out with his 6-year-old daughter, Molly. "Everybody comes out whether it's cold or whatever. We have a really good time."
Police patrolled the area in cars and on bikes helping to make it even safer.
"I know everybody around here, so I feel safe," said local mom, Carol Kelly.
Meanwhile, over on Pittsburgh's South Side a little later in the evening, the adult Halloween parties got underway.
And as the celebrations continue into the night, police will be on alert for Halloween partiers who may be having a little too much fun.
