SUV Slams Into Bus On Parkway West, 6 Hurt

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― An overnight accident involving a bus and sports utility vehicle on the Parkway West sent six people to the hospital.

Officials say the crash happened on the ramp of Interstate 79 from the parkway around 4 a.m.

According to our news partners with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the SUV swerved while traveling on the parkway, slammed into the back of the Greyhound bus, went out of control and rolled over.

Authorities said the SUV's driver was removed from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital for treatment, the PG reports. He is identified as 26-year-old Michael Kuzo, of Oakdale.

The Post-Gazette reports five of the 55 passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries and were also treated at local hospitals.
