Garfield Baby's Death Ruled A Homicide

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The death of a 10-month-old baby girl at a daycare center in Garfield has been ruled a homicide.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Marcia Poston and found that she died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Pittsburgh Police and medics were called to Bray's Family Daycare in the 5100-block of Dearborn Street on Friday afternoon where the baby was found unresponsive.

According investigators, a 7-year-old girl allegedly threw the baby to the ground twice.

Police have not released the girl's name, but say that she will undergo a psychological evaluation.
