GM, CMU Officials Announce New Partnership

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― It's a partnership that experts say could change how vehicles run.

Officials with General Motors have announced a partnership with Carnegie Mellon University today to develop new motor vehicle technology.

The automaker and CMU already have a Collaborative Research Laboratory, which they established back in 2000.

This afternoon, GM and CMU officials released the details of their new partnership in a news conference. Officials say they hope to unveil a new "driverless vehicle" by 2020.
