Ford City H.S. Students Involved In Accident

FORD CITY (KDKA) ― Police and emergency crews remain on the scene of a serious accident that has left three people injured and one teenager dead along Route 66 in Armstrong County.

According to the Armstrong County Coroner, the driver, 17-year-old Shawna Petrosky was killed in the accident.

Eric Petrosky and Greg Heeter were also in the vehicle.

They were flown to Children's Hospital.

The Petroskys and Heater are all students at Ford City High School.

The crash happened on Main Street near Pleasantview Drive in Manor Township around 7:20 a.m. when a metal coil on the back of a semi truck apparently came loose and hit at least two vehicles. 

Route 66 in the area will be closed until noon while police investigate the accident.
