Water Cops Patrol Pittsburgh's Rivers

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The Fourth of July weekend is full of partying both on land and water.

That's why the Fish and Boat Commission is out in full force patrolling the waters.

Most of the citations handed out are for fishing without a license or moving too fast through a no-wake zone.

But officers are also looking for people drinking on the rivers and those trying to pull strange stunts.

Officers say there haven't been many problems this year - partly because of high gas prices. They say many people simply can't afford being on the water.
