Two Fayette County Fires Believed To Be Arsons

FAYETTE COUNTY (KDKA) ― Fire officials are investigating several weekend fires in Fayette County.

Two of those fire appear to be intentionally set.

The first suspicious fire was at an abandoned home on Shimko Hollow Road in German Township.

About 30 minutes after that fire another suspicious fire was reported on Sunshine Hollow Road, also in German Township.

The fire happened at the former May Day Manor personal care home.

No one was injured during the fire but two people were injured when a suspected drunk driver crashed into a fire truck responding to the blaze.

Fire officials say two other fires in Fayette County this weekend are believed to be accidental in nature.

Right now, it's too early to say if the two suspected arson fires are connected.
