Eldery Woman Killed In Accident On Route 40

HENRY CLAY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― An elderly woman was killed when her vehicle went out of control along Route 40 in Fayette County.

It happened in Henry Clay Township on Friday afternoon.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Dolores Zeigler, 79, of Ohiopyle, lost control of her car when she turned her car into the westbound lanes of Route 40 after traveling west in an eastbound lane.

The vehicle hit a guiderail and a tree before stopping, the Trib reports.

She was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries to the head and chest.
