Donora Residents Return To Homes After Leak

DONORA (KDKA) ― Residents in Washington County who were forced to evacuate late Friday night because of an ammonia leak are now back in their homes.

A Hazmat crew was called in to contain the leak at the Dynamo Plant on 13th Street in Donora.

The residents who were not forced to evacuate were told to stay inside and to close their windows and doors.

Officials also blocked off several streets to traffic.

But this morning, officials have given the community the all clear.

However, the cause of the leak is still unknown.

Stay with KDKA for the latest details.
