Local Doctor Killed In Rock Climbing Accident

SENECA ROCKS, W. Va. (KDKA) ― A local doctor died over the weekend while rock climbing.

Dr. Amy Ruth Stine of Ohio Township fell 60 feet while climbing Seneca Rocks in Pendleton County, W. Va.

West Virginia State Police say Dr. Stine fell 60 feet after a piece of equipment broke loose.

She suffered severe facial trauma when she hit the outcropping of rocks and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dr. Stine had a family practice in McCandless.
