Dennis Bowman Visits Fort Crawford Elementary

NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA) ― Dennis Bowman traveled to Fort Crawford Elementary School in New Kensington where 290 smiling little faces attended the a weather assembly today.

Dennis used some interesting gadgets to teach the kids about the weather.

He had his lightning generator there where he created sparks by building up static electricity -- much like what happens in the atmosphere.

He also showed how lightning is so charged that it can be a real hair-raising experience.

Dennis also told the kids how to stay safe when there's flash flooding, and not to play in water on the road after a heavy rain.
