Newlyweds Accused In Brawl Tell Their Story

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― The newlyweds at the center of an alleged wedding night brawl in Ross Township are speaking out.

Dr. David Wielechowski and his wife, Christa, are maintaining their innocence.

Wielechowski is accused of karate kicking his bride and then fighting with other people who tried to come to her aid.

Today, Dr. Wielechowski's attorney released a statement saying Wielechowski never kicked his wife on their wedding night.

The attorney said Wielechowski is a respected dentist and isn't capable of assaulting his wife.

He claims Wielechowski was a victim of the men who intervened and attacked the couple.

Mike Worgul, an attorney for the bride, also released a statement, saying his client "loves her husband and is standing behind him."

She also claims that her husband did not "initiate aggressive conduct" on that night and "has never" harmed her.
