Man Jailed On Rape Charges In Fayette Co.

VANDERBILT (KDKA) ― A Vanderbilt man is charged with raping a woman in her sleep.

Daniel Torres, 30, admitted to engaging in sexual intercourse with the 21-year old while she was sleeping and didn't know what was happening.

Torres had a relationship with the victim that had previously ended.

The victim told police she discovered the rape when she went to the bathroom the morning and found residue from the alleged incident.

The victim told police that she is a very sound sleeper because she works two jobs and cares for a 2-year-old son.

Torres was arraigned on charges of rape and indecent assault. He is being held in the Fayette County prison unable to post 10 percent of $25,000 bond.
