Pedestrian Hit, Killed On I-79 North

BUTLER COUNTY (KDKA) ― A pedestrian was killed in the northbound lane of Interstate 79 late Sunday evening.

According to police, Daniel Strickler, 21, was hit near the Portersville exit around 11:30 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police are still investigating why Strickler was standing in the right lane at the time of the incident.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
