Singer Connie Francis Performs In Uniontown

UNIONTOWN (KDKA) ― She's known for her hit songs like "Who's Sorry Now" and "Where the Boys Are" and today legendary singer Connie Francis performed locally.

Francis gave a concert tonight for her local fans at the State Theater in Uniontown.

The singer has sold an estimated 120 million records worldwide.

But while Francis no longer sells records like she once did, she says she's still passionate about putting a good show and keeping her fans happy.

She says she has no plans to retire anytime soon.

"We've really been busy this year, a very full schedule, California, Atlantic City. It's been very busy, New Jersey a couple of times," she said. "I love to perform. I want to die on that stage when I'm 95."

Francis also says she feels music is the core of her existence.

Meanwhile, after her local appearance, she says she will return to her home in Florida, but then it's off to Europe this summer, for a show in France.
