Dinosaurs Help Set New Record For Carnegie Museum

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―

With the return of the dinosaurs, the Carnegie Museum expects to set a new record for attendance on the day after Thanksgiving.

The museum had 4,584 visitors as of 3 p.m., already surpassing its previous Black Friday record of 4,294 in 1999.

Museum officials believe they're on pace to have 6,000 visitors by the end of the day.

The $36 million "Dinosaurs in Their Time" exhibit opened on Wednesday.
