Building Evacuated In Shadyside Over CO Concerns

SHADYSIDE (KDKA) ― An apartment building in Shadyside was evacuated after concerns about carbon monoxide.

It happened in the 5700 block of Kentucky Avenue near Osterburg Way.

A carbon monoxide detector went off, waking up a girl who then called 911.

Hazmat officials say someone was washing something in a pressure washer in the basement, but the doors were closed and no air could get out.

Everyone inside the building got out safely.
