Local Communities Celebrate 4th Of July

(KDKA) Fourth of July festivities took place all across the area today.

In Canonsburg, after putting out their chairs days in advance to reserve their spots, people lined the streets for the annual Independence Day parade.

There were floats, marching bands and honor guards.

KDKA's Jory Rand also took part in the festivities.

Also, residents in the Dormont not only celebrated the 4th, they also marked the borough's 100th birthday.

Dormont Days celebrates the history of the borough and featured concerts and lots of good food.
