Doctor Allegedly Provided Alcohol, Porn To Boys

Dr. David Evanko, of Butler, is accused of sexually assaulting two boy scouts.

State police are revealing new details in the alleged sexual assault of young boys by a doctor in Butler County.
The alleged crimes started in the late 1980s and continued in the mid-1990's.
Butler Medical Associates family practitioner Dr. David Evanko, 55, is facing involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory rape, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.
KDKA's Marty Griffin reports that according to the criminal complaint, three men told police that when they were boys, Evanko was their scout leader and used his position and trips out of town to molest them.
"Many times people out there portray themselves as individuals who can be trusted and a lot of criminals are trusted by others because of what they portray themselves to be," State trooper Ronald Kesten said.
One of alleged victims told police that when he was 11 years old, Evanko provided alcohol and pornographic movies to him and several other members of his Boy Scout troop.
He said the doctor performed sex acts on him on several different occasions.
Another alleged victim says he was also part of Evanko's Boy Scout troop.
He claims Evanko sexually assaulted him starting when he was 13-years-old. The alleged crimes took place inside the doctor's home and in other places around the United States.
He claims the doctor performed sex acts on him more than 100 times.
A third man also claims when he was a member of the Boy Scout troop, the doctor provided alcohol and pornographic movies.
He also claims the doctor was in the room when the boys drank the alcohol and performed sex acts on one another.
He claims this happened in Butler County and during a Boy Scout trip to New Jersey.
