Investigation Continues Into Beaver Falls Murders

BEAVER FALLS (KDKA) ― Following the violent deaths of a husband and wife in Beaver County, the community where they made their home is dealing with the loss.

Police say the bodies of Richard and Demetria Harper were found on Tuesday in their home on Second Avenue in Beaver Falls.

They had been shot execution style, authorities report.

Sources say two of the couple's children – girls, ages 10 and 8 – may have been locked in a room upstairs by the killers.

Officials say those children are now with family after being interviewed by counselors.

Meanwhile, neighbors say they are worried.

"I didn't think, never knew he had any enemies because everybody liked him, you know, got along with everybody," Tony Walker said, of his neighbor.

Police say so far, they have no suspects

"The rest of the neighborhood does not have to worry. We believe it was an action taken against the family involved. It was not random," Beaver Falls Police Chief Charles Jones said.

The investigation continues.
