Beaver Co. Beach Closed By E.coli May Reopen Soon

BEAVER (KDKA/AP) ― Swimmers in Beaver County could soon go back into the water at Bradys Run Lake.

The beach, which closed last week due to high levels of E. coli bacteria in the water, could reopen as soon as tomorrow.

According to the Associated Press, county officials say they plan to test the water again; but the test results take 24 hours.

If the tests show that the water is safe, the beach could reopen on Wednesday.

County recreation director Tom King says authorities don't know what caused the bacteria problem.

Two years ago, the beach was closed for several days when the water became stagnant during a drought.
