FBI Probes Bank Robbery In New Alexandria

NEW ALEXANDRIA (KDKA) ― The FBI is taking over an investigation into an armed bank robbery in Westmoreland County this afternoon.

It happened just before 12:30pm at the First Commonwealth Bank in New Alexandria.

State police say a white man wearing camouflaged clothing entered the bank armed with a handgun and demanded cash.

The suspect ordered employees to get on the ground and made off with an undetermined amount of money.

No injuries were immediately reported.

Police searched a wooded area but did not find the suspect

Anyone with information is urged to call police.
