Ex-McCain Campaign Volunteer Leaves Jail

The judge, however, is allowing Todd, a former volunteer for the McCain campaign, to leave the area on non-monetary bond to stay with an uncle in New York.

But the judge has also said that she has to receive psychiatric treatment every two weeks.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Authorities have released a woman from the Allegheny County Jail who falsely reported that a Barack Obama supporter attacked her.

Ashley Todd agreed to enter a probation program for first-time offenders.

The former McCain campaign volunteer claimed to have been robbed and assaulted by a man who disliked her McCain bumper sticker.

On Thursday, a judge ruled that Todd was competent to stand trial.

Todd will be staying with a relative in New York between now and January when her next court appearance is scheduled.
