Arnold Hit Hard By High Winds

ARNOLD (KDKA) ― Around 25,000 customers in Westmoreland County lost power in Sunday night's storm.

Approximately 4,000 customers remained in the dark Monday afternoon.

Allegheny Power officials say because the remained outages are scattered, it could be late Tuesday afternoon before power is restored.

The hardest hit area was in the northern part of the county in the town of Arnold.

Trees were down all over town and many people had damage in their yards.

In Hempfield Township, the community stage was blown down in Hempfield Park just after the end of the fall festival.

No injuries were reported, but officials say there are thousands of dollars in damages.
