Former Teacher's Aide Ordered Back To Jail

NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA) ― A former teacher's aide is behind bars again today after a judge revoked her bond.

Former Highlands High School teacher's aide, Abbiejane Swogger, is facing several counts including drug and corruption charges.

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Swogger left her home against court orders.

Investigators say Swogger had several minors stay with her at the New Kensington Clarion Hotel last week, where they also reportedly found cocaine, beer, remnants of pot and condom wrappers.

Swogger resigned from her job at Highlands Senior High School on Monday.

She is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing next week.

Officials with the police say they are working with the District Attorney's Office about possibly filing new charges in the case.

Stay with KDKA for more details on this developing story.
