5 Students Testify Against Ex-Teacher's Aide

NATRONA (KDKA) ― A former teacher's aide from the Highlands School District will face allegations that she engaged in inappropriate behavior with several students at trial.

Abbiejane Swogger, of Harrison Township,  was back in court today for a hearing.

Police say she was found at a hotel in New Kensington with a group of teens along with drugs, empty beer cans and condoms.

KDKA's Harold Hayes reports that several students were called to testify at today's hearing including a 15-year-old girl who was reportedly at the hotel party in question. A 15-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy also testified.

The judge has indicated that involuntary deviant sexual intercourse and three counts of indecent assault will be held over for trial. The judge and attorneys are going over the rest of the charges this afternoon.

Swogger has been in jail since February after her initial arrest.

At a hearing earlier this month, a judge refused a request by Swogger's attorney to lower her bond.
