UNIONTOWN (KDKA) ― A Uniontown man's appetite for a challenge is getting him national attention.

Brad Sciullo, 21, of Uniontown, was planning to go to New York City last weekend for a pizza-eating contest. When that didn't work out, he went to Clearfield, Pa., in search of a bigger challenge.

Sciullo scarfed down a 15-pound burger at Denny's Beer Barrel Pub. The burger had another five pounds of toppings.

Sciullo ate the burger in four hours and 39 minutes. He beat the record set by the restaurant by 21 minutes.

Sciullo won $400, a certificate and three t-shirts.

Sciullo weighs just 180 pounds and has won several other eating competitions.

The $50 burger Sciullo ate in Clearfield isn't the biggest one on the bar's menu. There's another one that costs $179 and consists of two 25-pound beef patties.
