Larry On The Job: Body Part Model Maker

SHARPSBURG (KDKA) ― Ghouls, ghosts and goblins will spend this Halloween night roaming the streets, but one local company is the business of hand making an assortment of scary things.

KDKA Radio's Larry Richert ventured to Specter Studios in Sharpsburg for some Halloween fun and a look at some of their faux severed limbs and bloody masks.

Mark Marsen and Scott Tyson have been in business since 2004.

"All of our heads, prop heads, are employees. We call that the Specter dead-head line," said Marsen. "The body parts are all modeled after a former employee."

So on this job, Larry had to lend not just a hand, but give over his entire arm.

Larry served at a model as the team decided to remake the cast that they make arms from.

The company just doesn't make arms, they also specialize in making wings, which Larry got the chance to try on too.

And at the end of the day, with his arm officially part of the company's catalog, Larry says he feels a part of the "cast" of Specter Studios.
