Larry On The Job: 'Lunch Lady'

PENN HILLS (KDKA) ― On his latest job adventure, KDKA's Larry Richert suited up with a hair net and went back to school to help the cafeteria ladies at a local Penn Hills elementary school.

The lunch ladies of William Penn Elementary, including boss Jan Sens, put Larry to work cooking, serving the never-ending lines of hungry students and helping with clean-up duty.

He prepared well-balanced meals including hamburgers, cheeseburgers, rigatoni, fresh salad, fruit and milk.

Larry even got to be the snack man, who collects money and helps the kids pick out their favorite treats, in between lunch periods.

So how did Larry fit into his hair net?

Well, the ladies of William Penn Elementary said he did a great job, and even asked him to become a substitute if he ever makes a career change.
