Larry On The Job: Shampoo Boy

CARNEGIE (KDKA) ―

Last time he tried washing cars but this time, Larry is trying his hand at washing hair.

For his latest stint, Larry traveled to Elaine Zajicek's Hair Salon in Carnegie where he spent the day as a Shampoo Boy.

They invited him to come down and get to the root of it all with some pretty funny results.

This was Larry's first time washing women's hair but he seemed to catch on pretty quickly – lather, rinse, repeat.

"I don't know what the shampoo people do normally but I'm into organic massage for the scalp," Larry told his client, Barbara. "Pretend you're on a far away island ... Neville Island."

Next, he hopped into the role of receptionist, manning the phones.

Then he took on another client, Helen, who had some demands.

"Put more soap in there," she said.

But when it was all over, Helen walked away a satisfied customer.  At the end of the day, the staff at the salon surprised Larry with a special achievement award.
