State Revokes Ross Twp. Care Home's License

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― One of the area's largest personal care homes may shut down.

For the second time this year, the State Department of Public Welfare has revoked the license of Windsor Place in Ross Township.

The home has been cited with dozens of violations, including failure to report a patient death and a patient abuse case.

Matt Harvey, the owner, calls this a witch hunt.

"I will be honest that it looks bad on paper, we have had some things happen that we've never had happen in 22 years of business. And so things have happened but we did what we were supposed to by law," he said. "We reported things, we corrected them and we moved on."

The owner has appealed the revocation of the license. Until that appeal is heard, the residents can keep living there.
