KD Country: A Medieval Wedding

WEST NEWTON (KDKA) ― Dukes and Duchesses of the realm, take note: The Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival hath begun in West Newton.

Though this be a Fantasy Kingdom, a humble minstrel singeth of a genuine wedding that hath taken place on the first of six weekends:

"Lords and ladies, come hither, a tale I will tell In Morelandshire hamlet, a place ye know well… A mystical marriage, a young lady fair, and chivalrous squire, their covenant to share.

"We do hereby request the honor or your presence!"

The friar issueth the command, and forsooth! … The groom and bride take their vows before a fulsome plenitude of guests. Sir Thomas Murray of Syracuse, New York, beseecheth the hand of yon Kimberly Taormina of Verona.

The minstrel continueth: "Thomas met Kimberly and Kimberly met Tom through mystical magic: E-Harmony.com.

"Very 20th century way to meet, actually" Thomas proclaimeth. "And our second date was here at the 'Renfest.'"

"It's pretty neat to dress up and look Renaissancy," the bride doth reply.

"That's when I knew that I loved her and we were just meant to be together."

With a "huzzah" from the guests, the groom doth kiss his bride. They then march henceforth into the future, with a love that spanneth the ages.

Pittsburgh Renfest continueth each weekend through October 4th.
