CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― Steelers and Penguins, move over.

Pittsburgh has another champion.

The dance team from Studio 19 in Cranberry kicked and danced their way to the coveted Victory Cup - the National Championship - in a recent competition at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

"Here we go and hit, two, three, four!" Studio 19 owner Tammy Croftcheck leads another lively rehearsal, and the young girls move as one.

Success has come early to the noted instructor, who opened the studio just four years ago.

"It takes a lot of commitment from the students," she said, adding that her staff is also very dedicated. "We have a very positive attitude here. We're out to win, but we do it in a healthy way."

Fellow instructor Katie Watts left a dancing career with Disney Cruise Line to join her. She recalls that special night in Myrtle Beach.

"There's 63 that were in this particular (winning) number," she says "And I feel like they're each part of my family."

As the rehearsal continues in perfect choreography, it's clear that this is one "family" that knows how to work together.
