Allegheny Co. Announces Tree Recycling Locations

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Many people will be taking down their holiday decorations this weekend.

Allegheny County residents will once again be able to recycle their Christmas trees at various locations.

There are drop-off sites in the swimming pool parking lots of Boyce, North, South and Settler's Cabin parks.

The county will recycle the trees into mulch and use them in the county's nine regional parks later this year.

The sites will be open during normal park hours until January 23.

All lights, decoration and tinsel must be removed from all trees.
