Holiday lights have sold out fast at many stores around the area this holiday season.

Neighborhoods everywhere are all aglow these December nights with homes decorated in holiday lights, but some people who waited to put up lights this year are now finding empty shelves at stores.
A few weeks ago, the shelves at the Home Depot off of Camp Horne Road were packed with lights, but now there's almost nothing left.
The company reports they are going fast nationwide.
"I think because of the economy, more people are staying home for Christmas and doing more things to their home," said Paula Miller, of Home Depot.
Jamie MacPherson, from the North Hills, was in search of some last-minute lights but not having much luck.
"I've driven around, this is my third store," he said. "I'm going to hit one more store and give up and go home, and start fiddling with last year's lights."
The story is mostly the same at stores across the area - the Lowe's at The Waterfront is nearly sold out and all sold out of trees.
Lights are all gone at the Michael's in Bethel Park, and Pool City in West Mifflin has a few multi-colored lights but expects them to be gone soon.
Also, Target stores in Cranberry and Washington County are all sold out.
A company spokesperson said there was a great demand this year for LED lights.
"I can't confirm as to why they are selling out in our stores, we just know that guest feedback has been very positive for the lights," said Michaela Gleason, Target spokesperson. "Therefore, we did increase our assortment of them, and it's not just LED lights, we're also seeing popularity as far as incandescent lights go as well."
Meanwhile, others wonder if warmer weather has pushed more people to decorate outside.
But one store that still does have lights is Miller's Ace Hardware in McMurray. They have a sign out front that reads, "We have lights in stock."
