Retailers Offering Big Shopping Deals This Weekend
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
You don't have to wait until Black Friday to get a good deal this holiday season.
Retailers across the area are slashing prices ahead of Black Friday to try and win your business.
Marketing experts say with less money to go around this year, retailers want to get first dibs on your money.
Best Buy is offering a 50-inch Samsung 720P HDTV for just $697.99 and a 32-inch Samsung LCD for $397.99 Sunday through Wednesday.
"The sales are incredicble the lowest prices of the season," Cory Martin, home theater manager at Best Buy, said.
At Lowe's we found a six-and-a-half foot pre-lit Christmas tree that's $98 or $100 off through Monday.
Not to leave out our pets, Petsmart is offering 20 percent off all carriers, crates and bowls through Sunday.
Other retailers are using different tactics to get your holiday dollar the weekend before Black Friday.
JC Penney and Toys R Us where they're offering Saturday morning doorbusters the kind of thing you usually only see after Black Friday.
And Kohl's has taken the usual step of advertising that each and every item in the store is on sale this weekend only.
Even the outlets are getting into the picture.
At Tanger Outlets in Washington County, Aeropostale is offering 30 percent and Ann Taylor 15 percent off your entire purchase and at Bass the entire store is 50 percent off this weekend only.
The good news for many - good sales before Black Friday will likely mean shorter lines the day after Thanksgiving.
