Game Show Participation RULES

KDKA-TV in partnership with WESTFIELD INSURANCE proudly presents a Game Show to air Saturday mornings at 11:00 & 11:30 AM from September 20, 2008 through Sept. 2009.

Contestants in teams of 3 will compete/play for prizes and recognition in the WESTFIELD INSURANCE Hometown High Q hosted by KDKA's own Ken Rice.

1. Broadcasts are subject to preemptions and scheduling changes. If such changes occur they will be posted on KDKA's website.

2. Eligibility Restrictions:
(a) The Game Show Program is open to United States residents. Employees of KDKA/WPCW, Viacom Inc., other television and radio stations in the Pittsburgh market, and their affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising agencies and their immediate family members are ineligible to participate or win.
(b) Viewers are eligible to win a KDKA/WPCW Game Show Program only once every sixty days. Only one winner per household is permitted in any Game Show Program. Viewers are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six months.
(c) All entry information becomes the sole property of Station and it's sponsors and partners and will not be returned. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, and warrant and represent that their entry is their original work, and grant to Station the right to edit, publish, promote and otherwise use their entries without further permission, notice or compensation.

3. Prizes:
(a.) Prizes will be awarded to the winning team. That is the team with the highest score at the end of the championship game.
(b)KDKA will pay a total of $2,000. Of that amount the First place team will receive $1000, Second & Third place teams will receive $500.

Westfield Insurance (through Ohio Farmers Company) will pay a total of $32,000 to certain schools participating in the 2008-09 Hometown High Q Show. Of that amount, we will pay $10,000 to the school winning the 2008-09 Championship and $5,000 each to the schools finishing second and third in the 2008-09 Championship. We also will pay $2,000 to each school finishing in the next six highest places (4th through 9th place) for the 2008-09 year.
(c) All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of KDKA-TV, One Gateway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within forty-five days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival. KDKA is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
(d)Prizes are not transferable. Station reserves the right to substitute prize of comparable value.

4. Selection of participating teams:
(a) Teams will be selected by participating high schools

5. Conditions:
(a) Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner and winners may receive an IRS Form 1099 or equivalent from Station.
(b) By participating in the Game Show Program, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Game Show Program, and to sign a publicity release, affidavit of eligibility and release of liability prior to acceptance of the prize. By accepting the prize, each winner grants to Station the right to use the winner's name, voice, picture and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and publicity in any and all media now known or hereafter invented, without further permission or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). All expenses on receipt and use of prize are the sole responsibility of winner. Winner and travel companion, by acceptance of their prizes, agree to release Station, Viacom, their respective parents and subsidiaries, and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity.

6. Game Show Program sponsors reserve the right to make changes in the rules of the Game Show Program which will become effective upon announcement.

7. No purchase necessary. The Game Show Program is void where prohibited by law.

8. Failure to comply with the Game Show Program rules may result in a Game Show Program disqualification.

10. At the end of the show all scores are final unless contested before the teams leave the studio in which case the arbitrator will decide the final score.
