Steelers Huddle: Fast Football Franks & Pizza Dogs

(KDKA) Each Saturday on the PNC Steelers Huddle Show, Rania Harris puts together some great recipes that are sure to make your tailgating party a hit.

Fast Football Franks
Take this one to your next tailgate or game-watching party. It's a touchdown every time.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Serves: 12

Ingredients
1 pound Cocktail franks
1 cup Heinz® Ketchup
1 can (8-oz.) Crushed pineapple in juice
½ cup Grape jelly
2 tablespoons Chopped jalapeno peppers

Preparation
1. Brown cocktail franks in medium skillet. When browned, remove franks from skillet and set aside.

Add Ketchup, pineapple, grape jelly and jalapeno peppers to skillet. Cook, stirring, until jelly is melted.

3.
Add in cocktail franks; simmer in sauce 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve warm, with toothpicks.



Pizza Dogs
This recipe turns an everyday lunch or dinner into something really fun.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Serves: 8

Ingredients
½ cup Heinz® Ketchup
¼ cup Finely chopped green pepper
¼ cup Finely chopped pepperoni
1 teaspoon Dried Italian seasoning blend
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
2 tubes Refrigerated crescent rolls
4 slices Mozzarella cheese, halved on the angle
8 All-beef wieners

Preparation
1. Stir Ketchup with the green pepper, pepperoni, Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese in a small saucepan.

Cook, stirring often, over medium heat until bubbly and fragrant. Cool.

Preheat the oven to 350° F.

Unroll the dough and separate rectangles.

Spread an equal amount of sauce over each rectangle. Top with a half slice of cheese.

Place a wiener at the short end of the rectangle and roll in dough to enclose.

7.
Transfer to a baking sheet, laying seam side down.

8.
Bake on the lower rack of the oven for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
