Chef Alfano Shares Father's Day Cookout Recipes
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―
With Father's Day coming up this weekend, what better way to thank your dad for all that he's done for you than having a cookout in his honor?!
Chef Marc Alfano of Alfano's at the Quail says he and his dad plan to celebrate the day by cooking together on the grill.
And to help make sure your Father's Day cookout is just as tasty as theirs, he's sharing his recipe for spice rub and Spanish picada!
SPICE RUB
Mix Equal parts:
Salt
Pepper
Ancho powder
Coriander
Cumin
Celery salt
Dry Mustard
Paprika
SPANISH PICADA:
2 cloves garlic
Southwest seasoning
Oil or butter
Panko bread crumbs
Cilantro
Squeeze of lime
Chef Marc Alfano will be teaching a cooking class this coming Tuesday on how to have a fine dining experience using the egg as the center of attention from appetizers to entrees and desserts!
The class will be held at Sweetwater Center for the Arts on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:30pm.
