Heinz Red Zone Recipe: Reuben Sandwiches
(KDKA)
Each week in the Heinz Red Zone on The PNC Hines Ward Show, Rania Harris puts together some great recipes that are sure to make your tailgating party a hit.
Reuben Sandwiches
Russian dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup Heinz Ketchup
1 teaspoon Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 teaspoon grated fresh onion
Directions:
8 slices rye bread
Butter
1 ½ pounds thinly sliced corned beef
12 ounces well-drained sauerkraut
8 slices Swiss cheese
Heinz Spicy Brown Mustard
Heinz Pickles
Ore-Ida Steak Fries
Heinz Ketchup
Spread butter thinly on bread slices. Lay 4 slices of bread (buttered side down) on a clean surface; divide the slices corned beef, sauerkraut and cheese onto each of the 4 slices of bread. Top with 4 remaining slices of bread, buttered side up. Grill the Reubens, until cheese is just starting to melt and the sandwich is heated through. Open the sandwiches carefully and dress them with the Russian dressing. Cut the Reubens in half on the diagonal. Serve with a jar of Heinz Spicy Brown Mustard as a great zesty accompaniment on the side.
Serve immediately, accompanied with dill pickles, Ore-Ida Steak fries with plenty of Heinz Ketchup.
Serves: 4
