Meatball Sandwiches
1 pound ground beef
½ cup seasoned soft breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 garlic clove minced
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 cups Classico Sweet Basil Marinara Sauce
1 loaf sourdough French bread
Serve with Ore-Ida Fries and Heinz Ketchup
DIRECTIONS:
In a mixing bowl, blend together the ground beef, seasoned breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. Mix thoroughly. Add the pepper and ¼ cup of marinara sauce. Blend so that all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed together.
Shape the meat into 12 rounded meatballs. Place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until the meatballs test done.
In a saucepan, heat the remaining marinara sauce. Cut the French bread into fourths. Split each quarter in half. Spoon sauce into the inside of the bread. Add 3 meatballs. Top with remaining slices of bread.
