Steelers Huddle: Hot Turkey Sandwiches

(KDKA) Each Saturday on the PNC Steelers Huddle Show, Rania Harris puts together some great recipes that are sure to make your tailgating party a hit.

(The Day After) Hot Turkey Sandwiches

6 slices Texas toast – toasted
6 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 ½ pounds sliced roast turkey breast
Leftover cranberry sauce
Leftover bread stuffing
6 thick slices cheddar cheese
1 jar Heinz Home Style Roasted Turkey Gravy

Directions:
Spread the mayonnaise on the toasted bread slices and place on 6 flameproof plates and divide turkey among toasts. Spread the cranberry sauce on each sandwich and top with leftover stuffing and cheddar cheese.

In a small pot, heat roasted turkey gravy to a simmer.

Preheat broiler.

Broil sandwiches in batches about 2 to 3 inches from heat until cheese is lightly browned, about 2 minutes.

Remove from broiler and top each open faced sandwich with a generous amount of the hot gravy. Serve immediately.

Yield: 6 servings
